Join PATH x The Library of Congress to experience sound born of history, culture, and innovation. Be in the audience for a demo of Citizen DJ, a beatmaking platform for all skill levels, and rap with: + Brian Foo, Citizen DJ creator and Library of Congress 2020 Innovator in Residence + John Fenn, Folklife Researcher, The Library of Congress American Folklife Center + DJ Immortal, Award-winning Battle DJ & Director of Scratch DJ Academy - Miami Citizen DJ is an open-source web-browser application created by Library of Congress 2020 Innovator in Residence Brian Foo in partnership with LC Labs. Using some of the Library’s free-to-use audio and moving image collections, Citizen DJ enables users to select short samples to create their own beats and sound mixes. By using the tool, musicians, students, researchers and curious citizens alike can discover items in the Library's vast collections that they likely would never have known exist. ------------------------------ This project is made possible with the support of the John S. and James L. Drive-Through Theatre Experience Digital Performance Presented by Miami-Dade County Auditorium

Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Drive-Through Theatre Experience is a live outdoor series that allows patrons to enjoy free and unique cultural performances from the safety of their own vehicle.

This performance features Latin Grammy Nominee José Negroni and was filmed live at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium outdoor theatre on Friday, July 10, 2020. In this piano concert, José Negroni combines his original classical style with captivating fusions of jazz and Latin rhythms in two original compositions.

Treat yourself to 6 weeks of collaborative, multidisciplinary art-making led by industry professionals in the Hip Hop elements - DJ/Music Production, MC/Songwriting, Graffiti/Urban Art, Funk Styles (Dance) + Digital Storytelling. Create with an all-star lineup of coaches including, Hiphop pioneer Mike G of the Jungle Brothers. PATH Online 2.0: Remixing OURstory is a visual + performing arts series that provides a safe space to create socially responsive content inspired by collections from The Library of Congress and The Museum of Graffiti.

He is considered one of the pioneers in the new sounds of Latin electrónica receiving recognition for his debut album “Soundtrack” earning him a nomination for “Best Alternative Album” in the 12th annual Latin Grammy® Awards. He is a music connoisseur and researcher of percussive rhythms from around the world.
