he State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine returns to the United States to present their captivating two-act performance of Cinderella, one of the most beloved stories of all time.

The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center’s Winds of Heritage Dance Company presents the Second Annual Heritage Dance Collective, a celebration of diversity and inclusion in dance, and triumph and resilience in the dance community. This dance concert features timeless choreographic masterpieces that highlight the contributions, dedication, and accomplishments of some of South Florida’s most-noted choreographers, dancers, and emerging artists. This year’s Dance Collective showcases influential choreographers Zedric Bembry, Marguerita Gayle-Major, Lineen McDonald, Hattie Mae Williams, and features a special performance by Paunika Jones. Dance Collective highlights a variety of dance styles and musical genres, great talent, and storytelling in motion. The concert will be held on Wednesday, December 15th at 7pm at the Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, 6103 NW 7th Ave, Miami, FL 33127.

What better way to ring in the season than with a new program of current and historical works from one of Florida's leading contemporary companies, Dance NOW! Miami!? And that's just what audiences will get with their Program I, "Stories for the Holidays," on Saturday, December 11, at 8:00 pm, at the Miami Theater Center, in Miami Shores The evening will include a suite of reconstructed masterworks from dance pioneer Isadora Duncan, along with "Solstice," from guest choreographer Jon Lehrer, a revival of Artistic Co-Director Diego Salterini's "Three Moments in Time," with the South Beach Chamber Ensemble live onstage, and more. CuBlack: Invisiblized No Further! is a dance performance experience that investigates the “invisibilized” oppression of Blackness inside the Miami Cuban community. The project intends to start a dialogue, as means of continuing to deconstruct, find solutions and formulate ideas that will lead to the dismantling of systematic racism in Miami. Dimensions features the long anticipated world premieres of “Preludes”, by Ariel Rose - a neoclassical work inspired by the piano compositions of by Latin Grammy nominated composer & pianist Jorge Mejia, and “DECO: Danzón of Eclectic Cultural Origin” - a tremendous artistic collaboration showcasing Art Deco inspired contemporary choreography by Kevin Jenkins, brilliant costuming by award winning designer Andrea Spiridonakou, and magnificent architectural scenic design by the outstanding Haitian-American artist Edouard Duval-Carrie. Also on the program, the world premiere of “Landscapes” by South Florida choreographer Donna Murray, a statement on love inspired by a collection of poems written by Lani Scozzari.

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa (BFLR), an international flamenco dance company based in Miami, and made up of professional dancers and musicians from Spain, the U.S. and Latin America, announces the premiere of its latest Pure Flamenco work Camino Flamenco. The performance will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 8 PM and Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3 PM at The Koubek Center in Miami, Florida. Led by the world-renowned master teacher, choreographer, soloist and Artistic Director Ilisa Rosal, BFLR presents the captivating and earthy power of authentic Flamenco dance at its best. With its breathtaking footwork, precise technique and powerful spirit, the performances are at once voluptuous and ethereal, rough and sophisticated, a restrained and impassioned – making it a deep and potent language of expression. This production will incorporate live music, created and performed by guitarist Andres Vadin and singer Jose Cortes to collaborate with the dancers and choreographers Irene “La Chiqui de Málaga”, Mayelú Perez, Sandra Baras and “La Emi”, who will also be teaching Master classes in Bata de Cola, Castanets and Classical Spanish Dance at Ballet Flamenco La Rosa Studios November 1-7.
